West Cornwall Dog Training Centre

Based on the outskirts of St Just, but within easy reach of the shops and other amenitites the town has to offer, our training centre in St Just is set up specifically to meet the needs of our clients.

We have 2 acres of fully fenced and gated paddocks. There are separate areas for training including paths, wild areas, fenced areas where dogs can be kept physically separate plus the town just a short stroll away which is great for practising road walking.

Parking and Facilities

Parking is on grass accessible most, but sometimes not all of the year, dependent on weather. We don't have toilets, but there are public toilets in the town a short walk away located at the Lafrowda Car Park.

Directions - West Cornwall Dog Training Centre, TR19 7HA

From the A30 skirting around Penzance, follow the A3071 towards St Just. When you reach the outskirts of the town, continue until the road opens out into the Market Square. You will see a Warrens bakers and the Kings Arms pub in the far corner. Church Street runs between the two and continue alongside the church. You will see a large house in front of you and it looks like a dead end, but carry on down and you will find the road opens out in to a small square - Venton East Square. You will see a stile and a metal gate immediately to your right down the side of this house - go through this gate and you will see a wooden gate immediately to your right.

1 to 1 Training or Behaviour sessions - If you are coming for a 1 to 1 drive right down to us and I will show you where to park. It is essential that you keep your dog in your car until you see me. If the wooden gate is shut, please wait outside until you see me - feel free to call me on my mobile.

Agility, puppy and life skills classes - go immediate right through the double wooden gate (see picture below - you will see a sign on the gate about dog training) drive round past the stables on your right into the training area. If any of of the gates are shut, please wait for your trainer to let you know that it is okay to come through. Drive SLOWLY - walking pace only please.

PLEASE NOTE for group classes, once the ground dries out you are welcome to park in the training areas, but often during the winter months this is often not possible so we do ask if people can park in the main town car park. As you are coming in to town, turn left before the Co-op and, follow the road for a hundred yards or so, and park in the main town car park (free parking) then walk back to the Market Square. You will see a Warrens bakers and the Kings Arms pub in the far corner. Walk down the road (Church Street) between the two and continue alongside the church.
