How can I help you?

It's quite simple really, my work falls in to two areas:

Training and Behaviour: 1 to 1 help which starts with an initial consultation followed by support sessions and encompasses:

Life Skills Training
Problem Solving including what I call my Calm Down dogs, who are dogs who struggle with being calm and focussed.

Tracking: where we start with an introductory 1 to 1 session and follow up with development sessions to help you build skills.

Training and Behaviour

1 to 1 Life Skills Training That Works for You

Whether you’ve got a puppy, a rescue, or an older dog, sometimes going back to basics is the best next step. 1 to 1 sessions are ideal if you want tailored support without the pressure of classes — or simply a fresh look at life skills like recall, lead walking, or settling. We’ll focus on what matters to you, whether that’s giving a puppy the right start, helping a rescue settle in, or working through everyday struggles at home or on walks.

Who Is This For?

🐾 Puppy guardians — from early planning to recall, lead walking, and more
🐾 Rescue dog owners — helping dogs adjust and feel safe
🐾 Anyone who prefers not to attend classes
🐾 People looking for extra help alongside group sessions

We might work on:

✔ Recall, loose lead walking, and settling
✔ Making good choices in everyday life
✔ Building confidence and connection

Problem Solving ... let's deal with those challenges now!

Do you feel like you’ve hit a wall trying to solve problems with your dog? Maybe you've tried different approaches, but nothing seems to work. Perhaps you’re not even sure why the behaviour is happening, let alone how to change it. Does your dog find it hard to relax — barking, lunging, pacing, unable to switch off? You might feel like you’re always managing and never moving forward, and just want things to Calm Down!

You’re not alone — these struggles are common, and the good news is, there’s always a way forward. Many dogs I work with aren’t bad dogs — they’re just misunderstood. They’re reacting to their world the best way they know how. When we take a step back and look at things from their perspective, we can start to make sense of what’s going on.

That’s where I come in — helping you understand your dog, so you can work together to make life easier for both of you.

Who Is This For?

Lots of different challenging behaviours including:

🐾 Trouble at home — barking, frustration, multi-dog tensions, stress around visitors or car journeys
🐾 Rescue dogs who find it hard to adapt — helping them settle into a new life
🐾 Puppies showing behaviours that feel worrying — working out what’s normal, and what might need support

And then there's reactivity, frustration or anxiety on walks — struggling with other dogs, people, traffic, or over-excitement in public. These are often lovely dogs who are just overwhelmed. They might be fine off-lead, or have lived happily with another dog, but they can’t cope in certain situations — and it’s exhausting for everyone. That’s where my Calm Down Canine approach comes in. It’s designed to help dogs who struggle to stay calm around people, dogs, or the world in general. It’s about helping you get from can’t cope to calm companion — not with quick fixes, not just distracting, but with insight, strategy, and support.

Whatever you need to work on, we’ll take a clear look at what’s happening, what your dog needs, and how to make everyday life feel easier — for both of you.

Tracking: Focussed and Fun Scentwork

Tracking is great fun and gives our dogs so much fantastic, natural, motivational exercise using one of their most powerful tools - their nose. When tracking, your dog is following a ground scent made by a human or dog, following the scent on different surfaces, and through different environments, weathers and conditions.

Tracking isn’t just about following a scent—it’s about learning to work as a team with your dog knowing that your dog know far better than you! Whether you’re looking for an exciting activity to enjoy together or need a way to help your dog focus and tune out distractions, tracking offers a unique and rewarding experience for both of you.

And one of the most important reasons to try tracking - you end up with a happy and tired dog!

Who is this for?

🐾 Anyone who wants to do something fun with their dog and build your relationship.
🐾 Some of the dogs I work with struggle in some situations around other dogs, people, or the environment. Tracking gives them a clear purpose—a job that helps them switch into work mode rather than worrying about what’s around them. And as they focus, you learn how to support them effectively. It will help with dealing with real life situations, learning when and how to step aside, and re-engage with tracking so distractions become less overwhelming.
🐾 Tracking isn’t just about what your dog does—it’s about what you do, too. It's about understanding when they’re on track, when they are not, and when to step back and trust them. You will be developing handling skills that help you feel more confident and not interfere with your dog's natural abilities.
