Life Skills for Beginners
- the essential foundation skills for you and your dog
Have you a new rescue or older dog with little training? Are you struggling to get your dog to respond to you?
St Just - 22 Feb for 4 weeks
Chacewater - 23 February for 4 weeks
What this course covers: Starting with the basics, over four weeks we will look at all the foundation skills you need including loose lead walking, coming back when called, manners with dogs and people, husbandry and settling. Groups will be small so that you can ask about particular challenges with your dog as we work through the exercises. This is a great preparation for joining our Life Skills Club.
Idea for: Dogs 1 year and older with little or no training. For dogs younger than 1 year, see our Puppy Plus classes.
Format: Each session is 90 minutes with a short break in the middle, ideal to help your dog to settle and ask any questions. Set dates. Please note if a class is cancelled due to bad weather we will add a week on at the end.
The class is held outdoors so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Full details of what to bring with you will be supplied in your confirmation email once you have booked. Please note that we try to stick to the dates advertised, but sometimes we need to cancel due to weather or illness.
