Agility is both mentally and physically stimulating for dogs and humans.

Agility is great fun, and once you have mastered the pieces of equipment, joining them all up in a course provides new challenges. Then we work on handling techniques to get the fastest and most accurate rounds - there is always something new to learn which is why it is so much fun. Sometimes it can be good to work 1 to 1. This could be because your dog struggles around other dogs, you prefer to work 1 to 1, or because you want to work on a particular piece of training in addition to what you are doing at classes.Training is held outdoors so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Sessions are with Amanda Cain who is an IMDT qualified trainer and competes with her own dogs Oodle and Wil-ee. Carolyn can be available to discuss any behaviour issues, please let us know if you need any such help when booking.

1 to 1 Agility training takes place at West Cornwall Dog Training Centre, St Just.
Training slots are shown above. Other slots may be available on weekdays or weekends depending what else we have booked in, so do call if you don't find a slot that suits you.

£25 per for one handler with a maximum of two dogs
£30 per hour for two handlers with a maximum of four dogs.

Sessions are for 50 to 55 minutes, arriving no earlier than the start time, and departing by the finish time. This allows us to ensure that your dogs do not meet other dogs or get distracted by the arrival of the next person. If you have a dog that might struggle seeing other dogs, let us know and we will book you in accordingly.
If you have a different mix of handlers / dogs, or want to bring more dogs, please ask and I am sure we can accommodate.

In addition the agility equipment is available for booking by experience handlers only. Call to find out more 07815 167247

We had our second one to one agility lesson with Amanda on Saturday 14th July. We will definitely be back again! Absolutely loved it! Amanda always makes it fun for both handler and dog. She is a great teacher. She doesn't overwhelm either of you with too much to learn - we do it bit by bit and she always, always reminds you to see it from your dog's point of view. We both had a great time and have some key areas to focus on as 'homework'. See you again soon, Amanda!

Had a brilliant session on Tuesday with Amanda and my 2 dogs. Made significant progress with Eddie who also goes to group agility. Dougal who has issues with other dogs is also improving Amanda is a great teacher, very patient and full of great tips not just for agility but for general behaviour issues.
